I sometimes get clients who come to me and say that they feel demotivated, they procrastinate and they sabotage themselves.
This tells me that they are living their lives according to their lowest values. When you are living your life to your highest values you will not feel demotivate, will not need to procrastinate and cannot wait to get out of bed and do what you want to do.
So what are values? A value is something that you perceive is missing from your life, a void. The bigger the void the higher up this value is on your hierarchy of values. People often think of values as honesty, loyalty, integrity etc. in most cases these are not your values, they are values imposed by society. Without them the wheels of society will not turn.
We all have our own unique set of values; they are like fingerprints. The way we live our lives demonstrates our values. We live our lives according to our top values.
If foe example travel is a top values you will see that you will spend money on travel without thinking about it, you will instantly become alert when you hear a conversation about travel, in fact you will often bring travel up in your conversations.
When you live your life according to your values you have; purpose, you are highly motivated and you can’t wait to get up in the mornings.
