You are where you are right now because of the decisions that you have made.
In everything in life you have a decision. If you are suffering anxiety, depression, stress or PTSD the first step to overcoming it is to make the decision that you want to change. As with everything in this life you will not do anything if you don’t want to.
As bad as depression, anxiety, stress or PTSD is there are still benefits. Some of the benefits may be that you do not have to work or everything is done for you. Whatever they are, and there are benefits they can get in the way of you making the decision to change things in your life.
If the benefits that you get outweigh overcoming your stress, depression, anxiety or PTSD then you will find it extremely hard to make a change. What complicates matters more is that often you do not consciously see the benefits, it often has to be pointed out.
Another decision that needs to be changed to overcome the symptoms of stress, anxiety, depression and PTSD is the decision to change your environment. It could be the environment around you, for example if you are in a household where the relationship is an abusive one and it is contributing to your condition then you need to make the decision to change it.
There is another environment that it extremely powerful and that is the environment between your ears. You get what you think about! If you are continuously thinking that you are anxious then you will be. Changing this environment is probably the hardest one and you will probably need help to change it.
