What are you thinking about?

We have all heard the term, You get what you are thinking about.  There is more truth to this statement than first appears.
DNA is a self-replicating material that is present in nearly all living organisms as the main constituent of chromosomes. It is the carrier of genetic information.

Thoughts Create ReActions

Students in the ’80s were told to think specifically about the worst things that could or had happened to them.  Tissue samples were taken. The results proved their negative thinking damaged their DNA. In other words, their genetic makeup was affected by their thinking.
When this same group of students was asked to think about the happiest and best things that had happened in their lives. The tissue samples showed that the DNA was repairing. Your very thoughts can cause harm to your body!Your thinking creates your reality

So, does this mean that we have to always be a positive thinking person? The answer is that there is no such thing as we all have positive and negative thoughts. We have to have balance as for every negative in life there is a positive. Just remember that the longer you stay in negative thoughts the more you damage your body.

Mind Your Thoughts

Be aware of your thoughts. Have you ever noticed how negative most of your thoughts are? We tend to think most about the negatives in our lives, our life sucks, there is not enough money, I hate my job, the country is going to wrack and ruin.

Do the following exercise.

Mark on a piece of paper and see how many negative and positive thoughts you have in a day. Be honest with yourself. This exercise will tell you if you are in balance.  Is the negatives and positives thoughts you have, similar, nearly the same. Or are you completely out of balance?  Your negative thinking, noticeably, outweighing positive thoughts, or vice versa.

Stop It!

Be aware of your thinking, when you find yourself dwelling too much in the negative or positive tell yourself to “STOP IT”!! Keep doing that until that thought disappears.  Watch this video and have a laugh!

Be aware of your thoughts and how they should be in balance. Do this and life will seem easier and a more happy place.
