What’s a Wrong Decision?

Failing to decide is equal to deciding to fail. Every day we are presented with choices: what to eat, to wear, to do; these are very basics. More important choices pop up unexpectedly, getting into the habit or being comfortable to make a snap decision (based on previous experiences) is an art and practice is the way to perfect it. Practice making quick decisions. Every decision can be corrected by another. Write down the pros and cons of life-changing decisions – anaylsis against your desired outcome. If it fits, go with it. Keep moving to get more out of life.

You Are Not Broken!

Our mental health is as fragile as an arm or a leg. It will bend and twist a certain amount. Legs absorb pressure when we jump and fall. But push the limits and they fracture. So to our Minds. Show Your Gratitude to Others with Compliments

Gratitude is easily shown by compliments. Say thank you! You can give a card, a small gift or just simply let the person know you appreciate their contribution. But compliments are more than this. It is so easy to say: You look great; love that colour on you; what well behaved children you have! It’s easy, try and notice how the smile you receive lights up your day in return!

How to Be More Assertive

Most of us are not born ‘assertive.’ It is a learned skill, but it is very necessary. We need to know how to politely say ‘No’; how to express our needs; and to be calm and clear when dealing with others. Those who can communicate their views, pleasure and displeasure to others without creating offensive are rewarded for their skills. Leadership is a combination of empathy, understanding and assertiveness. Practice your skills.

Tips for Managing Anger

Anger is wasted energy and is never the answer to a problem. However, bottling up your anger is also not a good idea. When you feel yourself getting angry, try to change your state! What do I mean? It is physically impossible to laugh and be angry! You cannot smile and frown at the same time. So when you start to get angry, do something stupid on purpose. Not dumb, stupid. Something that will make you and others laugh. Break the tension, break the moment. Take the opportunity to get another perspective.
